On Sunday, March 2, 2025, Pastor Edward Boakye of the Church of Pentecost Avenor District visited Bethany Assembly, a local branch of the district. His message powerfully aligned with the church’s 2025 theme: “Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling.”
With deep passion and conviction, Pastor Boakye spoke from the heart, reminding the congregation of their divine purpose. “Brothers and sisters,” he began, “we are not just meant to exist—we are called to something extraordinary. God has unleashed us to live a life that reflects His glory.”
As he shared from the Scriptures, his words carried a sense of urgency and inspiration. He began with 1 Thessalonians 5:23:
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Pastor Boakye explained that this verse speaks to the complete transformation God desires for His people—one that is not just outward but deeply rooted in the heart and soul.
He then turned to Hebrews 4:12-13:
“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. No creature is hidden from Him, but everything is naked and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.”
He emphasized that God’s Word reveals the deepest parts of the heart, uncovering areas that need change and growth.
However, his message was not just about self-reflection—it was a call to action. Pastor Boakye spoke with great faith about the unique gifts and divine purpose that God has placed within each individual. He urged the congregation to recognize and embrace their calling, praying fervently that God would awaken their hidden potential and empower them to fulfill His mission.
His words left a lasting impact, inspiring everyone present to step boldly into their God-given destiny.
