Rt. Rev. Andrew Mbeah-Baiden, Bishop of the Northern Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana, has urged Christians, especially men, to embrace generosity in supporting the work of God. He emphasized that giving freely to advance God’s mission brings divine blessings and a fulfilling life.
The Call to Generosity
Speaking at a thanksgiving service at the Most Rev. Prof. K.A. Dickson Memorial Methodist Church in Ashongman, Accra, Rt. Rev. Mbeah-Baiden encouraged believers to give willingly, not out of compulsion but from a sincere heart, knowing that their contributions help sustain church activities, evangelism, and community outreach efforts.
“People of God, especially men, should give freely towards the furtherance of the work of God at all times. The reward for such a kind gesture is the multiple blessings of God and life’s fulfillment, experienced only by those who engage in religious philanthropy,” he stated.

The event also marked the induction of newly elected executives of the Northern Accra Diocesan Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowships. The newly appointed leaders include:

During the service, Rt. Rev. Mbeah-Baiden also launched the Northern Accra Diocesan Mission Development Fund (DMDF) to mobilize resources for evangelism, discipleship, infrastructural projects, church planting, and land acquisition within the diocese. He revealed plans to extend this initiative to all 20 circuits of the Northern Accra Diocese.
Recognizing Past Contributions
The Connexional Chairman of the Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship, Ebenezer Kobina Anowih, praised the Northern Accra Diocese Men’s Fellowship for its rapid growth and impact within just six years of existence. Meanwhile, the Immediate Past Chairman, Kwamina Amoasi-Andoh, expressed gratitude for the support he received during his tenure and commended his team, many of whom retained positions in the new leadership.
The event underscored the importance of generosity in fueling the church’s mission, as well as the significance of visionary leadership in advancing God’s work. As Rt. Rev. Mbeah-Baiden emphasized, giving is not just about financial support—it is a spiritual investment that yields eternal rewards.
